Masjed Qiblatayn (mosque with two qiblas) located in Kuba Village in Madina city of Saudi Arabia. Qibla means the direction of Kabah in Mecca city of Saudi Arabia to which a Muslim turns in worship. In the beginning of Islam the first muslims were worshipping by turning to Masjed al-Aksa at Qudus (Jerusalem). Later our Lord Allah ordered muslims to turn their faces to Kabah in worship (The Holy Koran 2:144). Once the first muslims in this mosque were worshipping in the morning in group. When a muslim coming from the Prophet`s city informed them about the change of the qibla they turned to the new qibla on the place they are without breaking the worship. [Source: Muslim, Masaced 15, (527); Abu Davud, Salah 206, (1045)]. So, from that day this mosque called as ``Mosque with two qiblas`` (Masjed Qiblatayn). Later, the mosque rebuiled a few times.
